Recording session
We are currently recording a new CD at Don Bosco, including the orchestral suite ‘Der Bürger als Edelmann’ by Richard Strauss and other well-known and so far unknown works. You can find the recordings already released in our mediathek.

Even more Haydn
The subscription concert “Mehr Haydn” on the 26th of November in St. Martin's Church marks the start of a new long-term project to perform and record Joseph Haydn's six late masses and the so called «Cäcilienmesse».
René Jacobs and the Zürcher Sing-Akademie are taking part. The project runs until 2028 and is supported by the Joseph Haydn Foundation Basel.
40th birthday
On November 8 and 9, we will be celebrating our 40th birthday at Don Bosco. Celebrate with us!

Statement about the Music Diversity Initiative
The desire for greater financial support for the independent scene, including in music, is understandable. The Basel Chamber Orchestra supports this, but not at the expense of existing structures.
